What Exactly is Membership Primary Care ?
Membership Primary Care or Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of healthcare that allows you to have open access to your healthcare provider. The DPC model eliminates insurance and you pay a monthly fee to your primary care provider for their services. By eliminating insurance the care you received is focused on you and not medical coding and billing and treatments related to ‘what insurance will pay for’. You deserve the best care regardless of what insurance suggests.
Can I Use My Insurance Plan?
While insurance is not accepted in this model of care you do have the option to use your insurance by filing your own claims, or utilizing your benefits for labs, imaging, and different therapies. Also, Blumologie accepts Care Credit, Cherry Payment Plans, and FSA/HSA cards as forms of payment.
What About Emergency Care?
We understand that the safety of your family is your top priority, it is ours as well. Blumologie does not offer emergency care but will be able to offer you the guidance you need if you are unsure about an emergency room visit. Blumologie recommends high-deductible catastrophic health coverage in the event of an emergency. Blumologie has partnered with a local insurance agent, Shayla Harris, whose passion for care aligns with our own. How Do I Know if Membership Primary Care is Best for Me and My Family?
At Blumologie, we understand that everything is not for everyone. If you are interested please fill out an application for each member who you would like primary care coverage. Our Nurse Practitioner will review your application and determine if you are a good candidate for our services.
Is Membership Primary Care the same as Concierge Medicine?
The simple answer is no. In traditional Concierge Medicine your insurance can be billed, our Primary Care Membership Cost are not billed to insurance. However, Blumologie offers concierge services and appointments at a discounted rate for all of our Primary Care members.
