How to Determine if you need Filler…..

Filler can be placed in areas of the face where volume has been lost. Typically volume is lost in the face due to the aging process, excessive sun exposure, or other biological factors. The best way to determine if you need filler is to consult with your nurse injector. What Should I Expect During my Filler Appointment……..

• Consent Forms will be emailed once your appointment is booked, if you do not have a chance to fill them out prior they will be done during your appointment time

• Medical Clearance by a Licensed Nurse Practitioner

• Full Facial Examination to Determine areas of deficit that filler could safely be placed

• Little to no pain during the procedure, topical numbing cream and local numbing injections are available

• You may notice a small amount of bleeding following injections

• Bruising can also occur but can be treated with an Arnica regimen

• Swelling will be present following your injections, this could last for a few days

• This appointment typically lasts 60 minutes for new clients, 45 minutes for returning clients

• A follow up visit will be scheduled 2-6 weeks after filler injections

• You will be given post-care instructions prior to leaving the office

Contraindications…..

This treatment is not recommended in clients who have an infection at the site of treatment, allergy or hypersensitivity to past filler, allergy to lidocaine (medication used for numbing) collagen, and/or hyaluronic acid filler.
